MISS Research Summit 2025
Atlanta, Georgia
January 3-7, 2025
January 3-7, 2025
In partnership with the Society of Integrative and Comparative Biology.
MISS is very excited to partner with the Society of Integrative and Comparative Biology to host our second Research Summit in January 2025! Thanks to funding from Re:Wild, The Campbell Foundation, and The Schmidt Ocean Coalition, MISS will be funding travel and housing for MISS members to attend the SICB conference and MISS's research summit.
|
Attendees will have the opportunity to attend SICB talks, symposiums, or workshops as well as attend the MISS research summit. During this summit, MISS members and Friends of MISS will have the opportunity to present their own research, network with scientists from many different disciplines, and join working groups to potentially receive funding for research SEED grants offered by MISS!

About missMISS provides a community and funded opportunities for gender minorities of color who wish to enter the field of shark sciences. We aim to show that there are many gender minorities of color succeeding in and interested in this field.
We fundraise and apply for grants to create paid opportunities to attempt to knock down the financial barrier into shark sciences. We encourage other organizations in our field to do the same. |
